This week we have been focusing on the 1930's. Specifically the causes of the Great Depression and the New Deal of President Roosevelt. We were even able to find references to the Great Depression in "Song if the South" by Alabama.
There has also been discussion almost daily about the Olympics. (If I fall asleep the night before, the kids keep me informed!)
Just a reminder that the history interview is due Monday for 2nd and 3rd hour.
This is my tenth year teaching in Melrose, seven of which have been at the middle school. I curently teach 4 sections of seventh grade social and 1 section of reading in 2nd grade.
My husband Ben and I live on a dairy farm north of Melrose and have three kids. Sam(8), Grace(6) and Max(2).
When I'm not chasing my kids, helping with chores, or teaching, I enjoy reading, sports, Glee, scrapbooking and good movies.
